What’s your favorite movie?

Labyrinth, The Incredibles, Fried Green Tomatoes, V for Vendetta

What's your favorite TV show?

Fringe.  I’m obsessed with Fringe.  I even follow them on Facebook.

What's playing on your car radio?

When I’m in the car by myself I usually listen to NPR, and sometimes K-Love or Bob’s “Nine at Nine.” Otherwise I listen with my daughter to her music and sing along to songs like “Kookaburra” or “The Ants Go Marching.”

Are you a sports fan? If so what sports & teams do you follow?

I wasn’t really a sports fan until I moved to Pittsburgh.  I grew up in Montana with my father being a life-long Steelers’ fan.  When I moved to Pittsburgh he was excited to be able to come out and see a game (at least a pre-season game).  I have definitely become a Steelers’ fan now and don’t miss a game.

What's your favorite food?

I enjoy all types of food.  I love to cook, learn new recipes, eat out and try new things.  Tasting new exotic foods is always an adventure for me.  My favorite type of food is probably Thai – primarily the curries, followed by Mexican, then Haitian stews – the spicier the better!

What's your favorite author & book?

I have lots of favorite authors:  Ann Patchett, Alexander McCall Smith, Agatha Christie, Richard Adams, Barbara Kingsolver – I love to read.  My favorite genre is mystery, followed by strong character stories, transformation stories, etc.

If you could visit any place in the world where would you go?

I love to travel and hope to see as much of the world as I can.

What’s something you would like to achieve personally?

I’ve been working toward Ordination as a pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA) for about four or five years now.  It is strange for me to think of Ordination as an “achievement” rather than as confirmation of a calling I’ve had for close to twenty years.

When not at church what can you be found doing?

My days are pretty busy running around with a very energetic two-year old girl.  We play a lot, read stories, make pancakes, go to the Aviary (her favorite place of all), play with friends, and go to the park. In the evenings my husband and I like to watch movies and read books.  When the weather warms up I spend time in the garden.  I have two awesome dogs that also need lots of love and attention. We take walks and play in the park as well – though probably not as much as they’d like.

If you could meet anyone who would you want to meet?

Dietrich Bonhoeffer, St. Teresa of Avila, [and Jesus, of course]
